Our Wedding
From the second that marriage became a realistic option for us, we both knew that we wanted a private, intimate wedding that would forever be unique to our personalities and our love. We chose to make that a reality in Kansas City for a number of reasons. Most notably, in the state of Kansas, our vows to each other are able to stand alone. There is no required priest, overseer, or officiant.
Now, we are excited for the day our vows will stand alone as the words joining us together.

The Love Story
Abel & Jen first met in February of 2018. Their first time seeing each other was in a sweaty boxing gym in Lowell, AR. Jen walked in & flashed a smile that made everyone forget about boxing. She leaned up against the wall nearest the front door & spotted Abel training kids in his work clothes. Dinner and conversation followed the jokes that came when those kids realized Jen was there for a date with their coach. One date turned into many. Jen & Abel never looked back.

Now, fast forward a few years of dating & friendship. As it did for so many others, Covid-19 changed Jen & Abel's lives forever. This couple chose to navigate the pandemic together, & that decision challenged them in ways they never imagined. They often said, that decision would make or break their relationship. It in fact made them stronger as they normalized a standard of communication, patience, & love they would've never known otherwise.

Since then, Abel & Jen have been happily committed to spending life together. Abel proposed to Jen in October of 2023 & they have taken their time planning the wedding in order to make sure it is the perfect way begin this new chapter of life.
